With more than 30 years of public speaking experience – ranging from focused/keynote presentations to facilitating complex community conversations at various sized events – Nate brings a unique breadth of perspective and skill.

As a public sector leader, Nate has experience working in formal and structured environments – speaking and presenting to elected and appointed bodies, facilitating community events/workshops, and running a variety of public meetings.

Nate also has formal teaching experience in public presentations, serving as faculty for adult professional development programs, as well as coach/mentor for dozens of leaders and presenters.

Nate has also served as a keynote speaker, presenter, and panel member for audiences ranging from 50-750 people on a variety of topics, drawing from experiences that include:

  • Author of two books – Backcountry Skiing California’s Eastern Sierra and Road Biking California’s Sierra Nevada
  • Founder and President – Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center
  • Avalanche Survivor
  • Athlete and brand ambassador
  • Focus on community building, relationships, and resilience
  • Husband & father of two children
  • Saved son’s life at age of 3
  • Lost mother to Lupus and heart failure, following heart transplant
